A Presidente da Junta de Freguesia, Ana Custódio e a Diretora da Fundação Altice, Ana Estelita têm o prazer de o convidar para a inauguração da Cabine de Leitura da Salema, que terá lugar no dia 10 de maio de 2022, pelas 17h30, no Largo da Liberdade na Salema.

A Cabine de Leitura tem por objetivo fomentar a leitura na freguesia com a criação de uma microbiblioteca, sob o mote “Levar, doar, ler, devolver” num espaço totalmente inesperado.

Este espaço vai poder contar com títulos diversificados, desde romances, policiais, livros de literatura infantil e juvenil, culinária, biografias, em português, mas também noutras línguas, doados por fregueses e entidades públicas e privadas.

As Cabines de Leitura, já instaladas um pouco por todo o país, reaproveitam as antigas cabines telefónicas, dinamizadas pela Fundação Altice em parceria com entidades autárquicas ou outras, que asseguram a sua adaptação, colocação e dinamização de uma pequena biblioteca, com o objetivo de estreitar laços comunitários, exercitar a cidadania e fomentar a leitura.

The President of the Parish Council, Ana Custódio and the Director of the Altice Foundation, Ana Estelita, are pleased to invite you to the opening of the Salema Reading Cabin, which will take place on May 10, 2022, at 5:30 pm, in Largo da Liberdade in Salema.

The Reading Cabinet aims to encourage reading in the parish with the creation of a microlibrary, under the motto “Take, donate, read, return” in a totally unexpected space.
This space will be able to count on diversified titles, from novels, detective stories, books of children's and youth literature, cuisine, biographies, in Portuguese, but also in other languages, donated by inhabitants and public and private entities.

The Reading Cabinets, already installed all over the country, reuse the old telephone booths, promoted by the Altice Foundation in partnership with local authorities or others, which ensure their adaptation, placement and promotion of a small library, with the aim of strengthen community ties, exercise citizenship and encourage reading.
